Boulder Wall Terrace -
Installed in the Spring of 2011, this
Doylestown garden features working
with existing trees and boulders
to create new outdoor rooms.

The addition of a 3 season room generated the need to reconfigure the back yard. A patterned flagstone terrace is provided for dinning and the main walkways. To the side, a contrasting irregular flagstone terrace is set next to the owners favorite seating space under a large Dawn Redwood. A water feature is set in the center of the garden to be seen and heard by all.

Existing trees were moved in and out of the garden to provide screening from the neighbors and to give maturity to the new space. Large boulders from the adjacent woods, came to great use in creating decorative retaining walls along the raised terraces.
