Doylestown Terrace -
Currently under construction, this
Doylestown, Pennsylvania garden features
rear terraces with a fire pit and water
feature along with a new front entrance.

The usable space of the back yard was limited by steep slopes. Through the use of dry set stone walls and steps, a two-tier terrace is created. The lower terrace has ample space for dining while the upper terrace provides a second room for overflow seating. A fire pit and a water feature are tied into the walls where they can be enjoyed from both terraces. At the front of the home, a new walkway of large irregular flagstone provides a continuous surface for easy access while reflecting the less formal style of the rear terraces. In order to continue the quality of the new flagstone walk, the concrete landing at the front door is replaced with natural stone materials. A mix of deer resistant plantings soften the stone terraces and walks while providing seasons of color and fragrance.
